What is acupressure and how it works

Acupressure applies mechanical pressure on thousands of body points — without piercing the skin — with a goal similar to acupuncture: stimulate local blood flow, release muscle tension and activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” mode).

The principle is rooted in ancient Eastern traditions, adapted to contemporary home use by brands like Shakti Mat (Sweden), Pranamat (Latvia) and Bed of Nails (US). In 10–20 minutes on the mat, the body responds with local vasodilation: the skin shifts from tingling to warmth and the muscle releases tension.

How to use it (5 steps)

1. First time: wear a thin t-shirt (spikes feel less sharp through fabric until your skin adapts). After 3–5 sessions you'll use it on bare skin.
2. Lying face up on the mat: 10–20 minutes. The initial discomfort turns into warmth and relaxation between minutes 3 and 5.
3. Pillow under the neck: 5–10 minutes. Ideal after hours at the computer.
4. Foot reflexology: standing on the mat for 2–5 minutes. Especially after running or a long day on your feet.
5. Before bed: 20–30 min session. The drop in muscle tension helps initiate sleep.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of: pregnancy, severe circulatory issues, severe varicose veins, open wounds or active eczema in the contact area, hemophilia or anticoagulant treatment, pacemakers or electronic implants in the contact area. Consult your doctor if you have cardiovascular conditions or coagulation issues. Not suitable for children under 14 without adult supervision.

What we WON'T promise

• It's not magic. You'll feel it at session 3–5, not the first one. Early sessions feel uncomfortable — that's normal and part of the adaptation process.
• It doesn't replace a physio. If you have chronic pain, active injury or serious pathology, consult a professional first. This is a wellness tool, not a medical device.
• It's not a Shakti Mat. Shakti is Swedish, with its own distribution channel and pricing (€60–90 just for the mat). CREATH Mat uses the same physical principle and density at an honest price, with EU-native service.
• It's not for everyone. If pressure stays intolerable after 5 sessions, return it within 30 days — unused, in original packaging — and we refund.

Warranty and shipping

• Free tracked shipping to mainland Spain. Typical delivery in 8-12 days after payment confirmation. You receive the tracking code by email when the package leaves.
• Plain packaging, no visible CREATH branding on the outside. The courier label may come in English depending on the logistics warehouse origin.
• 30-day returns if the product is unused, in its original packaging.
• EU 3-year statutory warranty under Directive (EU) 2019/771.
